Goliath grouper is a very popular game fish all year round. These fish are typically large and slow, growing over 2 meters in length and weighing up to 600 pounds. Their diets mainly consist of crustaceans, octopus, and other fish. They use their huge mouths to dig shelters in the sand where they hide from predators and ambush prey. They tend to stay towards the ocean floor around structures such as reefs. They will suck in almost anything that you put on your hook, just be careful not to get it stuck in the structures where its hiding.
